Our solution automates the car rental process by providing a platform for both car owners to rent out their vehicles and renters to easily find and rent a car from their smartphones. It includes a mobile application built with React-Native and a web portal built with React, and a backend built using Node.js. Car owners can upload information and pick-up location of their cars on the app and the vehicle will be approved by an admin. Renters can search and filter cars, send booking requests with start and end dates, and pay online. Rentals are confirmed by the car owner and renters are notified after the confirmation of the booking and they both receive QR codes to start and end the rental. The mobile application has two modes for car owners and renters, and the admin portal can be used to approve vehicles, view bookings, users, and vehicles.
